Recreational Classes

Our recreational classes offer a safe space and nurturing environment for dancers of all levels to explore movement and learn new skills. With a wide variety of dance styles and levels, we have a class for everyone! All recreational classes run from mid-September through the end of May, with an annual recital to end our year. Dancers can start in our Dance With Me class as young as 18 months and continue through high school. We are excited to now offer a variety of adult classes as well!

Class Descriptions

  • Dance With Me

(Ages 18 months-2 Years) This class is designed to introduce tiny dancers to our studio and teachers and give them a head start in their dance journey. Students will dance and sing along with the help of a parent or grown-up. We use lots of props and keep this class quick—paced and high-energy!

  • Pre-K Combo 3s & 4s

Our Pre-K Combo classes serve as an introduction to the art of dance. We incorporate basic ballet, tap, and tumbling elements, all taught through imaginative and creative movement activities. This class helps children develop coordination, creativity, and confidence!

  • Hip Hop/Acro Combo

This is our beginner-level Hip Hop & Tumbling class, which offers a great workout that promotes strength, coordination, and flexibility while learning skills that will carry through their entire dance career. We encourage students to learn new skills and expand their comfort zone in this safe and controlled environment.

  • Ballet/Tap Combo

At this level, students will begin to build a foundation of ballet & tap technique. We will begin introducing more advanced concepts while taking the time to understand the proper placement of the body to keep our dancers safe. Students will begin to link movements together to create more advanced combinations.

  • Jazz/Tap Combo

This high-energy class is perfect for recreational dancers who want to learn two styles! Dancers will spend half the class working on Jazz technique, and half the class learning Tap steps, all while getting a cardio workout! This class promotes flexibility, coordination, and strength in dancers.

  • Jazz

Jazz dance is fun, high-energy, and creative! It is the perfect way for students to get a workout while still gaining a strong foundation of technique. As students move through the levels, they will learn more advanced concepts, backed by anatomy and proper body placement in order to keep them safe.

  • Ballet

As students move through our Ballet program, they will begin to develop technical knowledge of the style. Our Ballet classes promote discipline and proper body placement. We emphasize all of this while promoting a healthy lifestyle to make our bodies strong. Every body is a Ballet body at All 4 Dance!

  • Pre-Pointe

Our Pre-pointe class is designed to get Ballet students ready to go en pointe. In order to join Pre-Pointe, students must have completed at least one year of Ballet and be 11 years of age or older. Students must be enrolled in Ballet at the same time.

  • Lyrical & Contemporary

Lyrical incorporates elements of Jazz and Ballet technique while challenging dancers to connect with the music and portray a story. Dancers in this class will increase coordination, grace, and flexibility.

  • Hip Hop

Our Hip Hop classes increase strength and coordination while teaching the fundamentals of Hip Hop. Hip Hop classes are high-energy, cardio-based classes that keep the kids engaged and dancing the whole time!

  • Acro Dance

Dancers in Acro class will begin each week with conditioning and stretching to prepare their bodies for acrobatics. Acro classes incorporate elements of dance, tumbling, and contortion. From forward rolls to back handsprings, dancers will work at their own pace to master new skills!

  • Musical Theatre

Our Musical Theatre students will learn about dancing, singing, acting, lighting and costume design, and so much more! They will put on skits, learn songs, and work on their dance technique throughout the year. Kids will learn to connect with their emotions in order to tell a story through their movements.
